what he said but i personally might not do the block guard unless i was doing a fairly high HP application just because i have heard about block guards causing overheating due to decreased coolant flow. but like Wikidconsepshnz said everyones got a diff opinion.

received my oil pan, pump, and pickup today. bump for a good guy and good seller!

on the front of the head theres some circles with numbers cast into it. the first circle with the numbers tells you what year it was made in, if its under 93 or 94 then it most likely a B16A head if above then ITR. as for the retainers yes most of them are shiny an you should be able to see them.

B18 with an LS crank theyll work. get some more displacement aswell. what motor you using?

if your going to have the motor appart u might aswell just throw some quality parts in there, and clean up things like the crank and block and have a 0 miles bottom end. then its like pretty much having a new motor. you can get quality forged rods and pistons for like 700 bucks, some minor...

will the oil pan fit on a ITR block?? also interested in the oil pump and oil pickup tube. i take it the itr oil pickup will work on the moroso pan?? how much to ship to canada??
