I currently have a 94 eg hatch with a 96 b18b1 in it. It is OBD2. I also have a problem...its fucked. I acquired a b18b1 from 1994 for free. If I swap it out for the 94 what will i have to change, seeing as how it already has a 96 b18b1. What will have to be converted over from OBD2 to OBD1...

I would check to see if you have a severed positive wire. It may not be cut all the way through and one or more strands may still be left on there. I would start at your injectors and work back towards the resistor box. also check to see if your positive wires are grounding out.

If your amp uses 50a fuses, then put a 55a or 60a inline fuse as close to the battery as possible. I would just use the same size fuse or just slightly bigger.

IMO, 30a-60a for 1000w. But it all depends on the current that the amp is pulling.

theres your problem. Your ground wire is too small. It has to be able to get rid of that excess power somewhere. thus, chassis ground. If that power doesnt have anywhere to go then it will take the path of least resistance. Your fuse, perse, is the path of least resistance. It will transfer the...

either one... you have a serious grounding issue and possibly a short, or you have the wrong size fuse for the voltage or amperage. you might have a 6v fuse in there when you need a 12v fuse.
