I purchased an ebay header for a crx of mine. A DC 4-2-1 knockoff. Problems: Shitty gaskets: Replaced with fel-pro's from autozone. Shitty quality flange: Not so much a lack of thickness, but ugly cuts. Shitty port matching: Easily fixed with a die grinder and a few hours of careful work...

Not too bad a price. Its getting quite difficult to find them. +1 on the knocking off 1k bit. show up with cash or your own financing and tell him 5,200 out the door. Yes or no. Once chance, No bargaining.

Every moving part. Don't glop it on there though.. That will just cause this stuff to happen all over again. Grease up the sliders, the rails, pivots, everything.

Take your time with it! Its a pain in the ass for sure. Pretty self explainatory though. Remove everything that is in its way, then remove it.

Take it all apart, clean everything, clean out the drains. Inspect for overly worn, broken or cracked parts. Clean some more. Grease it up and put it all back together. It'll work like a champ again.

You can get new ones from honda. Cheap. Some machine shops and some auto parts stores will carry them as well. Don't re-use the old ones. You can assemble the head without the dowels but I would not recommend it.

Of course they can be removed. Pull the two attatching screws out. Presto.

8 pounds is very light.. you'll have to feather the clutch quite a bit and get used to the way it drives, but it will all become second nature before long. And definently do the timing belt while the motor is out and you're swapping water pumps anyway.. Just one less thing to worry about down...
