Does the check engine light stay on for a long time or does it shut off in a couple seconds? With the obd1 wiring they turn on then shut off like the new cars do. As long as its not staying on it shouldnt b a problem thats y ur ecu is not throwing any codes.

Dont really know where the shifter is sitting. N yes if i decelerate it doesnt pop out only when i accelerate it pops out. Only sumtimes when i hold it it stays in, i feel it popping out so i just take it out of gear n put it back in. N im using a Avid shift linkage that i bought of ebay.

Make sure that ur starter wire is still good i had a similar problem in my hatch... Evrything turned on but didnt crank so i ran a wire from my starter wire to the switch that connect to the ignition switch mayb that works

Well i started to fix it but it stared to get cold and snowing so really couldnt do to much lol and the battery i took out my coupe so its fully charged. I actually added at least 4 more grounds to the 2 i already had so i think im good in the ground department lol
