    B16A2 into 98 dx?Some Q's

If I'm hearing you correctly, you say you're buying a '92 VX with a '99-'00 motor in it? Then yes, the guy is could be correct in saying the car didn't have A/C. The motor may have had A/C at one time but that doesn't mean the car did. The compressors are different between the DX and the Si...

    My Honda Swap

There's a lot involved in converting to a k. Unless you got money and time I would stay away from a k swap. Stick with the B series for now. A sure give away for a B18C1 is the intake. The intake manifold is a lot bigger on the GSR. After you identify the larger intake then look at the...

swapping 94-97 gsr engine into 95 integra ls

Starter and alternator will swap over with no problem. As long as you stick with the same OBD then most, if not all, of your sensor should work. But don't quote me on that, I've never tried using LS sensor on a GSR motor. The motor harness is different with the GSR due to the secondaries and...

4-2-1ls header to Skunk2 Mega Power R Exhaust System

Uh, yeah. They should bolt right up. The size of the tube won't make a difference when bolting them together. It'll only make a difference in the way each component reacts. And the output of the header has a tapered doughnut gasket that will mate with an OEM or aftermarket cat. Try to keep...

    strange sound

My old Accord never had this problem so I would assume it's something to do with you're clutch or tranny. I would lean more towards the clutch side. Might be your throwout bearing starting to go out on you. And even when your clutch is fully engaged, the throwout will still be turning but...

    My Honda Swap

Kinda curious how you found a '91 GSR? Honda didn't introduce the GSR until '92. And yeah, sometimes it can be beneficial to find a motor in a junk yard but in most cases you'll end up spending more to get it up and running 'cause you never know what's wrong with the motor. Plus, a GSR motor...

ok.. so i need some help..

Oh, my bad, sorry. You should still get the engine harness for LHD car. It'll make it a lot easier then splicing a lot of wires to make them long enough to reach across. Other than that, it should plug right in. You got the ECU for the motor, right?

    My Honda Swap

:werd: '92-'93 Integra GSR is the B17A1 '94-'01 Integra GSR is the B18C1 (most common) No B16 was a GSR. Only way to make a B16 a GSR is if you drop a GSR head and intake on a B16 block.

ok.. so i need some help..

OBD2 Engine into and OBD1 car. You're gonna have to convert the harness. There are conversion kits out there, this is probably your best option. Or try pulling an OBD2 harness off a junkyard car. Other option would be to convert the engine to OBD1. Not sure what this intales but I know...

93 eg hatch brake conversion help

Yeah, I looked at the NAPA here and they didn't carry any adapters for this. Maybe it's different here. idk I was also told by a licensed mechanic who has 30 years experience that even if I were to find an adapter that they tend to leak. Something about how the brake lines tend to not seat...

Definately check all your wiring with a multimeter to make sure they are good. Also do a good inspection of them to make sure you have no breaks in the wire insulation. Any missing insulation could cause a short and again start another fire. The fuse box and harness will work for that motor...

93 eg hatch brake conversion help

Great post by iliv2xlr8. I just want to add, the ABS master cylender off a civic is very similar to that of the teggy. One of the flare fitting on the end of the brake lines is different though, as stated above. There is no conversion adapter that can be used on this. Truct me, I searched...

    D16Z6 Swap/turbo?

For $1000 to $2000, you should be able to get motor, tranny, and ECU. Unless you plan on a GSR then it'll cost you more than the $2K. A strong LS would be your best bet for that money. And you'll still need engine mounts and more than likely an exhaust manifold. Also to remember, keep a...

    About a head.

I would assume a backwoods, redneck mechanic wrote the manual you got that from. Any good mechanic, or repair manual, would tell you that a screw driver is not the right tool to be prying anything with, even though most of us use them to pry with. Use a small pry bar instead of a screw driver...

    About a head.

There is a bracket that supports the intake manifold that mounts to the bottom of the manifold and to the back of the block. If you haven't pulled the intake manifold off the head, you should before you try pulling the head off.

    Rotors Cadmium or Zinc?

The plating is only there to protect the non-contact area of the brake. And from my experience, neither plating works very well long term. The plating tends to burn off over time as the brakes heat up and cool down. I would recommend Brembo over the other one.

    About a head.

Screwdriver? Are you kidding me? That could damage the head and/or the block which could cause some major headaches later. Try using a rubber mallet to loosen the head. They have little alignment sleeves in the block to align the head. These sleeves can get sticky when you try to pull the...

93 eg hatch brake conversion help

I believe '94 was the first year Honda introduced 4 wheel disc brakes on the Civic. I'm also not sure but I think it was only in the EX with ABS. Most of the brake lines you currently have on your car will work fine. Just get a set of rear spindles, discs, and calipers off a '94 or '95 EX...

    timing ....again

Hell, if all else fails, take it down to the local Honda dealership. Most will pull the bolt out for free or for a very minimal charge. Beats paying all that money for special tools and different crap that aren't a guarantee. I had to do that before I bought a 3/4" drive impact. Plus, if...
