i have a 94 sol si and on the intake there is a hose coming from the bottom of the throttle and going to the back side of the valve cover, there is an annoying piece of plastic in the middle of the hose, and i want to get rid of it, can i just run a hose from the throttle to the valve cover, or...

right now i have an almost all stock 94 si, but within the next few weeks it will have almost 8 grand in it. so im thinkin the optima?

The battery is my 94 sol si has seen better days, i want to get a better battery but dont want to modify aything to put it in, ive heard that innerstate and optima are the best but i honestly have no idea wich to go with. any suggestions?
