well got a buddy with obd1 b20 block with obd1 ls head and tranny...buddy finished swap, car cranks but doesnt start up...everything has been double checked..no CEL,looks like we got fuel..new pump,filter,injectors and plenty of fuel coming out clean...and pulled out plugs and saw good...

i love vtec..

ebay for pipings,wastegate,bov,intercooler,feedlines. then go find yourself a good turbo.

if you have the money get the walls sleeved!!! cant stress it enough. block guard is waste of money. to hit 300 -350 you need a good turbo at about 15 psi you'll get it.

honestly, for turbo cars, its all about the turbo. built the block, i'd do a 2.0 bore, rods,pistons, and if possible get it sleeved if not, at least rehone it. cams dont really matter, i honestly think ppl waste money on cams for a turbo set up, do spring/retainer upgrades. Well, pretty much from what i have concluded, Ball bearing turbos spool up to 15% faster than journal bearings. But Journal bearings are a little under half the price of a ball bearing turbo. You can get the same size turbo, Same trim, and both will produce the same amount of power in the end...

Got a question..i've got a guy who wants to go with ITB's on a H23 non vtec...i dont know too much about ITB's but you dont need a intake for filter correct? Since each cylinder has it's own throttle body...and we're planning to space it so we can use the stock fuel rail and fuel injectors..but...

no oil in the pipes either...i've been told its okay from many ppl, they've also said that since its a turbonetics turbo its fine..but i guess i am cautious also..so dont worry..the return lines arent pinched,no oil in the pipes..no smoke...just bit of oil from turbine..

i know if theres black smoke then that tells me the turbo is bad and the seal is probably broken..but i have NO SMOKE coming out of exhaust...so im sure the turbo is still fine....all feedlines are good...too....if turbo is bad..it shoudlnt be boosting and may lagg.

turbo had new ballbearings put into it not too long ago...i barely beat on it..still has lots of power and runs great...turbo doesnt actually leak, just the turbine area gets oily and will only see a tiny bit of oil after beating it a few times..cuz if the seal blew or if its a bad...
