    93 Civc Coupe with F20B

    it sounds like your are getting power to the wrong place. i dont know how you did your wiring, but that is the mail culprit. retrace all wires, use proper diagrams, and a continuity tester is always helpful.

    engine harness

    OBD1 or OBD2 will wire into this car PLUG AND PLAY as long as you have the engine harness AND the ECU harness. chances are your motor is obd1 in this case you will have a 2 part harness. ek b16 are the only harnesses that are single piece hanesses.

    i agree, check your clips. then your clutch pedal/slave/master cylinder. you may also have the cables backwards(i dunno if its even possible)

    Bump, as for gas miledge, you can run an LS 5th gear ( in itr, gsr, and b16 trans) for a bit more gas economy

    MAKE SURE YOUR PLUG WIRES ARE RIGHT.... check your plugs, compression test, and double check the timing on the top and bottom end.

    Bump alternator issue... The easiest way to test an alternator is to DISCONNECT the negative terminal from the battery. if the car dies then it is your alternator. DO NOT RECONNECT THE NEGATIVE TeRMINAL IF THE CAR CONTINUES TO RUN..

    vtec controller

    vtec controllers are fine, vtec should engage at 4500 rpms. you can play with it but thats where the fuel curve adjust for the bigger cam profile. Chipping the ecu is more costly and so is tuning. i do agree with a well chipped ecu THAT COMES FROM A REPUTABLE SHOP AND IS WARRANTIED... no ebay...
