the only way that you can be positive nothing bad will happen is by pulling the head back off and drilling the plug holes out to the the right size for the helicoil and the helicoil size should be for the stock plug size. as for the knock sensor it will run with out it but eventually it can hurt...
you would need to change some plugs off and extend some wires off of your existing harness but you wont be missing any plugs because your ecu will only read certain sensors to begin with.
if theres nothing else in your way then you might just have to bend the boot a little bit to get it out just dont bend them too much otherwise youll mess them up
i agree with it sounds like a shorted out wire or something just do a continuity test on all the wires and make sure theres no shorts anywhere but that is kinda strange that they turn on when its warmed up
a d16a6 is a relatively cheap and easy swap but your going to have to do some mild wiring like puting in a resistor box for the mpfi and all that. if your going to do that you might as well get the whole harness with the resistor box, ecu, distributor just to simplfy your installation
if your planing to swap out your dont put out any more money into the one you already have its just throwing money down the drain that you'll never get back
i got a 1990 crx si that im getting ready to swap a b20 with an 99 b16 head. i have an apexi safc for fuel management. looking for suggestions on what to do for wiring and what ecu i should run with this setup
