220-230 huh? Dang...that means I messed up on putting the rings in. I follow the Haynes manual on how to install the rings. Since I'm putting in pr3 pistons and rings...is there a certain way I shoulda put them in? Is there different installation directions than pr4 piston and rings?
hey Magana...I just read about the wet comp test and to think of it...i think that's what i did. I didn't do the dry comp test because there was already oil in all 4 combustion chamber so that's probably why i got 182 across. If I just dry/soak it with paper towel will dry test still be good? Or...
yea...i'm getting good comp it just that oil keeps going into the chamber and burning out. If oil was coming thru the rings..would i still have good comp?? The car idles fine and drives good. Just ALOT of smoke. MORE smoke when i rev. I'll look into that wet comp test. Thx!
I also looked at that clutch on ebay too. I researched reviews about it and a lot of ppl didn't like it. I don't have any experience with them so can't really say they are bad or if you made a wrong decision tho.
To the point tho...if it slips, maybe oil is getting on them from the rear main...
