The LS is fine but you will have to wire your knock sensor, Vtec solenoid, and oil pressure switch to the ECU.

I'll put money on it that it won't blow.... the ecu is FINE. How many times do I have to say, I have the same ECU! It works fine, so it isn't that. Plus he got it runing good and then he messed with the timing, so it is 90% likely that that is the problem.
