    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

I wish it would have worked exactly like you said but unfortunately the axles have different splines for the CV joints so there's no way I can put the inboard CV for the Integra motor on the 77 Civic axle. I'm thinking I'm going to have to cut and weld both axles and sleeve them, which willbe...

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

Got some new parts on the front installed: New rotors, rebuilt both hubs, new lower control arms and new tie rod ends. Now im just trying to figure out axles Any input is appreciated. My current plan is to have a local shop splice the 77 axles to the 87. Im aware having them modified in this...

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

Forced cold air for under $100. The only down side I can think of, is that its its gunna be loud inside the cab. But Im not concerned. Lol

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

I wish I could find a doner car so i can get some interior parts and front & rear bumpers. Perhaps I'll search harder after I have it running and driving. Getting closer tho. Got my intake built tonight.

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

Right now im using the cvcc wiring to run the fuel pump. Might keep it that way. Got my radiator fan today and got it installed and the hoses hooked up. Unfortunately I wont have a chance to work on the car this weekend. But next week Im hoping to get my intake installed.

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

Yea im def excited to have it running. I suppose my real wiring question is, can all electrical components be removed other than the fuse block and ECU? Or does the ecu rely upon other components to still run the motor correctly? I have unplugged pretty much everything but the ecu and fuse block...

Just out of curiosity, does anybody know what the box on the left or the part on the right does?

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

Even tho the CVCC looks like its guts are hanging out everywhere, its alive! My cousin was there the hold the car in place and make sure it doesn't go anywhere. Lol Its actually quite helpful having some one there to drink with. Got it running Friday night, I will just be removing one wire at a...

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

Dang man, your build is intense. So awesome. Im jealous! Last night, got the exhaust mostly finished. Took the entire integra exhaust and removed the cat. The integra exhaust nearly fit the cvcc perfectly from the down pipe back to the rear suspension. Just had to add about 4.5" of pipe...

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

Well, its been a while since ive done anything with the swap but me and my cousin knocked out a good chunk yesterday. Got the unibody modified, reinforced and painted. Mounted the motor (hopefully for the last time till it gets rebuilt lol), got heater core hoses connected, speedo, throttle and...

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

Right again. Hacked up the acuras clutch and brake pedal assembly and got it installed. Also shortened linkages. I couldnt believe that the cvcc exhaust hanger bracket is the same design as the stick linkage. Made the job pretty easy. I think next is wiring or radiator. Im not sure if either...

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

Was just looking at the pedal assembly. Looks like its gunna be fun... Thinking ill have to hack up the acura pedal assembly and replace the civics throttle pedal and modify the brake pedal to get the clutch pedal to fit. all while working around the steering joints that are directly in the way...

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

Thanks, I am pleased with my little welders capabilities especially since I only pick up the gun once or twice a year. Now im beating myself up cuz I meant to check height before tacking the mounts in but got too gung-ho and may have over estimated how much the suspension will compress when back...

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

Update. Did a quick degrease on the 1/2" of oil caked dirt. Test fit to assess what all needed trimmed. Cut away mounts, frame rails and anything else in the way. Retest fit the motor to find I trimmed more than enough on my first shot. Started motor mounts on the 4th and got them...

    77 Civic Swap - CVCC to D16A1

I actually went with the suggestion TurboMirage gave me. Left the rear tires on, hoisted the front end with the cherry picker and used ratchet straps as a winch and pulled it right up the ramps onto the trailer. Took all of 30 mins and I was off to the scrap yard. Now just gotta clean up the...
