A while back i remeber seeing a ton of the log style B series turbo manifolds that came with a square radiused piece of tubing and a T3 flange.
The point was you coudl weld the turbo flange anywhere you need for your application...
Well, they aren't on ebay anymore.. do you know where i can...
Yeah,
I"m very experenced in tuning GM chip set cars.. Trying to tune up my beater now.
I looked everywhere on that site and couldn't find anything to do with 91 prelude ECu's it woudl be awesome if i could find a bin editor with the proper DEF file
I read that article, Its more about the late model blocks only. my biggest question is..
Are the blocks generally the same between early prelude and late model?
The motor mount locations on the motor aren't the same?
If they are the same style motors I should be able to use the factory intake manifold/exhaust/sensors with just the new block/head.
I mean the motor that cam out of it is a B20, whats different about a late model b20?
That doesn't...
Its definately a Non Vtec DOHC...
So can't you use it in a B16 or B18 non vtec?
Also i'mthinking about swapping a CRV B20 into the car to replace the B20A in the car.. what is the difference. I was under the impression that they where the same motors
Theres really no telling what the B20 spare came out of.
I'll have to check to see if it says antyhing besides B20 on it. Its just the short block though so there shouldn't be much if any differences. Just put a good bad ass head on it and you got a good motor.
Maybe somone can use this...
Hello,
I just bought a 91 prelude and the motor has a really bad tap to it, I can't find it probeing around but by ear it definately sounds like its coming from the head.
the valves have jsut been adjusted and trippled checked and the noise didn't change.
Someone mentioned to me that it...
They look great,
If you wanted to pick it up you would completely have final say in weather you want it or not.
they have some normal surface rust as any bare metal does thats been sitting (like brake calipers after washing the car sort of thing) but they look real good
I'll clean it up...
The short block is assemebled, looks good besides some surface rust (typical of engine thats been sitting for a while)
Anyway I bought the car last tuesday and it came as a extra, the guy said he bought it from someone in hopes to eventually turbo it but never got around to wanting to build it...
Hello,
I'm really experenced in tuning, I love it.. in fact thats what i do for a living (www.pcmforless.com) But i'm new to the import scene.
I jsut bought a B20A 91 Prelude Si and I love it. I know that most stock GM and ford cars I can pick up anywhere from a tenth to even up to 3...
Hey guys,
My 91 prelude (orignal B20 @ 190Kmiles) has a nasty knock/tapping going on and i'm looking at swapping a complete JDM or CRV longblock. Is this just a bolt in and go deal? Shoudl it bolt up using the stock motor mounts/tranny etc?
Thanks a bunch
