do you mean IACV ? the sensor is on the front of the plenum behind fuel rail and the valve is under the throttle body...
when the IACV isnt hooked up properly it will cause a surge or "lope" at idle...
sometimes the valve set gets loose during shipping or whatnot and you have to remove those 3...
are you sure you have the vacuum lines hooked up right...if the vacuum line for the map is hooked up to the back of the plenum instead of the top of the TB it will start and idle fine but run rich as hell and boggish then throw a MAP CEL after you start driving.
that doesnt make any since....the dizzy has to be able to be adjusted to advance or retard timing...the legs of the dizzy have gaps....just loosen all three bolts and rotate it...

mileage on and problems with Z6 .....it has to be sitting there for some reason other than bent valves in the head....that would have been to easy a fix on a otherwise good motor???
may have honest buyer if you are honest seller...I buy/fix and sell cars on side for extra cash...

I why buy a used O2 sensor ...get new Bosch universal and wire it up....the wire colors are different just read the manual...2 heater wires..1 ecu..1 ground...
O2 sensor accuracy declines after 50k miles anyway...
