yes it will improve torque and hp but it will be some what of a bitch on reliabuility. u will need to modify the b20 block with a custom vtec oil line etc....but yes, it is a pretty phat swap if u do it right....good luck man john

yea dude, if ur worried about smog u should deff stay away from building an lsvtec. a b16 will please ur needs im sure. besides, like -Incredib1e- said, lsvtecs are a bitch when it comes to reliabuility.

dude it really sounds to me like your vtec sylinoid is fucked. do u have access to another one to see if it will fire. also, did you check your vtec oil feeding line?

dude, just a bit of advice....i would go with an si tranny instead of the zc. the gear ratio for the si tranny woops the ass of the zc. just lettin u know john

b-series have way more potential...however the h22 comes with more power stock. as far as pricing goes....b16 will probibly end up cheaper depending on where you get ur shit.

i dont know how crazy ur plannin on gettin with the h22 in ur ef, but all i can tell you is GOOD LUCK with gettin traction man. that motor does have more power, but with all the shit ur gonna half to encounter to make the shit hall decently....id say hit up the b-series and save urself some...

im thinkin its prolly dealing with the fuel pressure when vtec engages...ill check with some people and see if i can dig up some possibilities
