having issues with drives again
I just made a back up.
anything posted after this post may be lost. The data center is looking into it now. we may be down again if the drives need to be replaced. sorry, i know this sucks. trust me, it sucks WAY worse for me. __________________

we will be leaving this server tonight. too many drive problems.
datecenter offered to upgrade me from 4x150 sataII 10k raptors to 4x76gb SA-SCSI 10k drives instead for no price increase (76'ers are more than enough space... we aren't using 20% of the 150's). so, i am waiting on them to provision the new box, and effectively move all the sites tonight or tomorrow morning. Hopefully this server will stay up long enough to complete a transfer. __________________

Just to give an update, the data center hooked me up pretty good for the inconvience.
cost me $31 to provision the new server. the new server is $7 cheaper a month than previous. In addition to the raid 10 4x 76gb SA-SCSI drives, they also upped our procs Processor #1 Vendor: GenuineIntel Processor #1 Name: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5450 @ 3.00GHz Processor #1 speed: 3000.350 MHz Processor #1 cache size: 6144 KB x8 (2 quad cores) with 8 gb of ram hopefully we don't have drive issues with these. so far so good i think though __________________
