Hmmm... well if there are other volunteers to pick up Ji at the airport, then Matt and I can skip picking him up and just check into the motel early. We have 1200 miles to cover in two days from California.

Well, I don't know if that will work, as we have full cars already for the trip down. Unless Ji wants to be stuffed into a trunk or bungeed to a roof, you may still have to pick him up. It's not TOO far out of your way to hit Denver International Airport, if you're coming in from I-70. I-80 would be about the same. It's just going a little bit further east, then heading back to I-25 for the trip to the Springs.

I'll bring E's pocket bike as my carry on and ride it to the motel.

Naw. It's no big deal for us to pick up Ji... and that was the original plan. I just didn't know if it was more convenient for someone else to pick him up. And we're willing to share his Lordship's company too....

Ji, I'm not familiar with the Denver airport but if we aren't at the gate, we'll be by the baggage carousel area.

You can't be by the gate, due to security. However, there's an underground train that runs from each of the concourses to the main terminal. You can wait at the top of the escalator that comes up from the train. That's usually the best place to find someone.

Denver's probably a busy airport on a Friday night? At Logan Airport, I usually pick up friends curbside at the arrival exits... and they are labelled by individual airline companies.

I found the Denver airport website... I guess that we'll try to pick up Ji at the lower righthand corner of this building diagram...

I just might have to.

Hmm... Lets see, I get off of work at 5:00, and I could make it to springs by 7:00 if I go home and change....

Then I could crash in one of the rooms(if its still ok, and if you even end up liking me )

Could proceed to wake up Sunday morning with the crew, run Honkey to the airport and be back up in Thornton by........12:00.

LETS DO IT!!!!!! I wont be driving my CRX, but I will be driving the 1988 Nissan Stanza Wagon 4WD.

Who should I pm my cell # to, and can I bring a friend?? If not its cool. Let me know ASAP!!

Well, since the SCCA guys are running twice, I'd guess the on-mountain festivities will end around 3:30-4pm. Who knows afterward....Colorado Springs has an OK nightlife. We could have dinner, hit a bar or two, dunno. We usually just head home, but in years past, we didn't have out of state guests of honor (minus Loco of course). :P

Okay, it's 5:30pm and we are about 5 miles from the airport killing time. We're parked next to the Marriott Fairfield suites and using their wireless internet access to post. lol. B)

Ji's flight is 10 minutes late. As soon as we squeeze him into the sedan, we're heading down south to the Rodeway Inn.

Update: The hillclimb was awesome! Matt took some great pics, they will be uploaded once he gets back to Florida next week. It was great to meet more of the HondaSwap gang, sorry that we weren't more social. Still recovering from a cold caught in California. Didn't want to cough on you all... can't wait until next year's event!

It was nice to meet MugenCRX... Ji and I had dinner with him and his buddy last night in Colorado Springs.
