in need of help, i was wondering if i could use the civics wiring harness intead of using the gs-r wiring harness. would the civic engine harness plug right in the b18c1 or is it not posible and i would have to use the gsr wngine wire harness. also would a 98 gsr wire harness be ok to use. if its possible to use the civics wiring harness how would i plug the harness into the gs-r ecu, this car doesnt come with the v tec wire so how could i hook one up.

any help is very appreciated.

if its possible to buy one ecu wiring harness converter so it would plug right into the gsr ecu.

thank you,

your harness should be ok to use, just add some of the wiring for the ecu to it.

You could use the 96+gsr harness but you will have a couple open ends wihtit.

use the cars/cx wire harness
buy an obd1 GSR P72 ecu

cut from gsr harness any sensors that you will need, run wires directly to ecu.

see also:

and
https://hondaswap.com/swap/viewer.php?id=51 for wiring the IAB differences for running the obd1 ecu on the obd2 motor (after the above connections have been made)

ECU reference

A1 A3 . . .. b1 b3 . . . etc
A2 A4 . . . . b2 b4 . . etc

some don't have a B, some skip the C-plug. but thats the design of the ecu when looking at it.
