hey all im new and am wondering if it is possible to swap an automatic tranny to manual? i have a friend who will sell me a manual trans for my car for 500 bucks. good idea? bad idea? thoughts please input is much appreciated. Thanks
 
500 bucks for the tranny sounds high ? its rebuilt and ready to be dropped in ? lol i thought 500 was cheap shows how much i know...i also need some good advice on a good clutch i am looking to turbo the motor soon so ill need help with engine internals as well there isnt much info running around that iv found all the help you give i would appreciate.

well the whole story is my friend has a 2002 subaru wrx and has always made fun of me because i bought a honda civic the tern beer can muffler and ricer comes out of his mouth every time we talk about it. basically i want to take my car and turn it into a subaru stomper iv seen it done i just need some one to guide me in the right direction. 1.i have a 1.7l vtec sitting in the garage that i got off ebay for 500 bucks. 2.i want to turbo this motor 3.i want it to look like iv done nothing at all =D
