1,500 To Spend, Whats Best?

I am putting a new engine in my 95 civic. I am planning on putting a 1st gen b16a in it cause it is cheap and still pretty good but if you guys know where i can get a 2nd gen comp swap or something better then please let me know.
Also what are good people to deal with.

You're going to wind up paying the same price to get a OBD 0,cable tranny,1st gen in your car as you would if you just bought the 2nd gen.You are going to have to buy the right distributor,injectors,and other electronic components,that match your OBD I system,along with having to either buy a hydraulic transmission or a conversion kit..IMO save up the extra $700 and get the siRII motorswap,you'll be happy you did.

agreed .... get the right engine it will save you a lot of money in the long run
the cheap way usually ends up costing you far more in the end
