i'm writing this in response to Pissedoffsol's article here:
    http://www.hondaswap.com/forums/index.php?...=0&#entry306856

i'm pretty sure all 1 wire o2 sensor Hondas are obd0 and all obd1 hondas are 4 wire o2 sensor, with the exception of the VX which had a wide band 5 wire o2 sensor..

i'd be very interested in seeing a 92+ car that utilizes an obd1 ecu that came with a 1 wire o2 sensor..

i talked to several other honda guys i know and they agree with me.

    show me a helms for a obd1 car with 1w o2 and i'll believe.

well i did some research this's what i found:

    P05

    92-95 OBD-1 Civic CX (D15B8)

The P05 ECU came with the D15 SOHC non-vtec motor with close-coupled cat and a 1-wire O2 sensor in the 92-95 Civic CX. Basically an OBD1 version of the 88-91 HF motor. FUEL ECONOMY!!!

well, i'll say that i'm wrong.. but i still think the article should be more specific on the years and such..
also the DX model has 4 wire o2.. its a P06 ecu.

obd0 can also use the article- there are just differen't pinouts. and well, a LOT of 4th genner's convert to obd1 with a p28 anyway.

i mean, if you are doing a swap, and find that you have a 1-wire o2 and don't know what to do with it- then you'd start looking for info.
if you have a 4, things will plug right in and work

I had a `92 cx a long time ago, that used a single wire o2 sensor.

there are two ecu's that are good for obd0 "B-series" swaps.. the obd0 Pr4 and the obd0 Pr3.. the Pm6 ecu works well if you chip it.

there really is no advantage to converting to obd1 unless you are dead set on using hondata S200 system.

i have a 93 integra RS that i really wish was obd0, but its too much hassel to convert to obd0.

there is alot of ecu rom developement going on at PGMFI for the pm6 ecu.. such that i would prefer to use that ecu. (good for boost) but oh well. there's quite a bit of developement for the obd1 ecus as well.. i just dont think they are to the point where Blundar is with boost on the pm6

in a CX that is obd1, i can see where someone would want to convert to 4 wire o2 sensor tho.. although its a simple transistor add to make the P05 ecu do 4 wire o2 sensor... and a few pins and wires ... to the o2 sensor.

aside from b-series, a LOT of 4th genner's drop d16z6's into their cars. running a p28 is really the only "correct" way to do it. it requires a 4-wire o2 as well.

    *correct - I.E. no rpm-based vtec switches/buttons. lol

Jeef hides in   from my original way of activating vtec before I went obd1 on my civic. The 4 wire article is helpful to anyone who is coverting to a 4 wire from a single wire.

how do you do the conversion if you got an integra harness for the b16 and p28 in a 93 CX ?

Well the first thing you'd probably want to do is to post in a thread that's NOT four years old...
