My boy is trying to convince to ditch my plans for the Civic HB + swap, get a '86 Celica GTS, and save some money in the end.
Says its a classic "drifter car (RWD), w/ great weight distribution, and even better suspension." And it'll be cheaper than the civic cuz I won't have to do a swap.

Does anybody here own this car, or is familiar with the car.
Are there even any swap options with the Celica? I know TRD is huge, but I was under the impression it was mostly bolt-ons.
What are your opinions on the matter?

an 86 Celica is FWD.

Guess again, Batman.

Mods for a Toyota cost on average, twice that of Honda aftermarket.. Hondas are also a pretty unique sports driving experience, and the Toyota will give you a more "planted" feel, than the "Flickable" Hondas.

But I digress, these non-Honda posts should be put in "Other Vehicles"

the 1984's and under are RWD and could be used as a drifter. I just got a 87 GT yesterday for $400 and it runs great is is pretty quick. Its as fast as a d16z6 civic.

These are good cars cause you can swap any S series engine into it.
