I have had this car for about 6 months and ever since I got it, it has blown blue smoke in vtec, so recently I changed the valve stem seals (along with the head gasket etc) and now it is still blowing smoke, possibly more than before! Is this going to be piston rings or is there something else? It now seems to happen in full throttle above about 3000 rpm but only when driving, if I rev it on the drive it seems fine?

check your pcv valve.

also, you probably want to do a compression and leak down test on the motor.

blue = oil

Thanks for the reply, I will check in the morning, I have read a couple of posts from other forums after a google search and they say that if the valve is stuck open oil can get sucked up the hose and dumped in the manifold. I did notice when the head was off the inlet manifold was slightly black with oil, is this what happens?
