Im from canada, my friend has a 98 DX hatch with a JR supercharger

he was doing about 200kms ~120mph and the car just died, i pulled the head off for him, and 2 valves were bent

so i picked up a cdn SI head vtec, i modified the distributor to work from the old head

wired up a rpm activated switch with a 4500rpm

what else should i know??

does this head have smaller combustion chambers?

what model D16 has the thickest headgaskets????

did you take the piece out of the block to let oil flow to the head for vtec
and also you should consider geting a ecu for a d16y8. you will run lean when you go in vtec and with a sc you will make the problem worse.
 
couldnt i bump the fuel pressure more?

Also what head gasket do you reccomend for boost

also i didnt see any restrictor in the block?
