Hey, so i finally got around to replacing my suspension today since the owner before me decided it was a good idea to put ebay coil overs on original 10year old struts....
    1) Now i got the rear suspension apart, put together the new spring, strut assembly and i noticed 2 things first the top part does not sit even...is this normal?

    2) and secondly and more importantly i noticed i have no bump stops, can i get away with out them, or can i used the extra bushings that i have?

3)And how much do u tighten that top nut that holds the spring down to the strut?

Woops i guess thats 3 questions..haha any ways thanks in advance

    1. The top part should be sitting in an indention of sorts. there should be a rubber liner on the inside of the top cap that should have the indention.

    2. If your dampers didnt come with bump stop on them, I would *assume* they dont need them. But idk at all.

    3. 22ftlbs for the 'damper rod nut'. as listed in the haynes. you dont have one??

btw, are those Tein S-techs? i just got them for my car to go with my stock dampers till I can shell out the money for a Tein coilover kit. they look and feel great on the car just messing in the garage. car isnt mobile yet. what kind of dampers? let me know how she handles! :)

o and what kinda car do you have?

deal or not, not bad, not bad. those springs look the EXACT same color as the Teins. The only difference is those springs have way more winds in them compared to mine, leading me to belive those springs you've got there dont have that high of spring rates. but i'm sure it will be way better than stock! ^_^

you're supposed to put the bump stop from your OEM shock in unless the spring manufacturer recommends otherwise.

I have the exact same shocks as you, and there was a note with them that said to take the car's original bump stops, cut the bottom half off, and then reuse them.

You don't want to run without bumpstops. If you do bottom out your suspension for whatever reason, you could seriously damage something.
