Limited production run of a car with less horsepower and just a few extra options?

hrmm ok.

Same horsepower, new SAE horsepower ratings.

Yup. Probably the same reason why the Si is rated at 197hp instead of 200, and why the S2000 went down to 238hp.

is the 2007 model or is it the 2006? i think in 2007 they are requring the STANDARDS (see how often i bring that up?:p).

i wonder how much the seats cost, if they will even sell them seperately. i HATE the sti seats with a passion. they suck. 45 min or more in them and you're stiff like you ate viagra for your back.....

My roommate tossed his out in favor of a pair of Corbeau TRSs (same as in my Civic) just about as soon as he bought the car. Corbeau fitted the brackets to his car.

Werd.

And now the Dodge Viper is allegedly rated at 25-50hp less than its actual rwhp.

This is why the 2006 2.5L WRX is only rated at 7hp more than the 2.0L WRX when its an entirely new beast. SAE power ratings and a detuned motor make peak power numbers look funky.

I looked at a CR1 seat. I only wanted one though and was going to try to get someone to buy the other seat in the pair because supposedly the CR1's aren't side definate.

Anyway, I would think you would like your seats B. They're my favorite seats, the '04-'05 seats. The '06 seats are too big but since I'm small and you're big, you might favor those more.

Do the '04's have inflatable lumbar support? My friends '06 does, but my '02 doesn't.

04s do not have inflatable lumbar.

The CR1 would probably suit me better- thinner in the kidney bolsters, but wider up top in the shoulders. Even my old roommate liked the TRS though, and he's not exactly thin- probably similar to B's build.

05 has the asjuster for titlt of the seat, but thats about it. and even that sucks. it tops out before i'm happy with it. i'd like it to be angled up a little more.

swapping seats will suck though, cuz the 05's have airbags in the seats... so i'd like to stick with an oem seat to keep the srs light off.

Turning off the SRS light is done with just a small resistor. I can find out the value for you if you want. The roommate's STi doesn't have the SRS light on- he cheated it with a resistor.

I found the stock seats to be reclined a bit too much at the full upright position too.

no, not the back, the seat part.

its like aiming down towards the pedals.

i'd like for it to be aiming say towards the bottom of the steering wheel area... not THAT steep, but you get the point.

Ah, yeah I know what you mean. The stock seats just suck. If you get the Corbeaus plus brackets, you can always change the angle with some shims if you really want. They do point a little more "up" towards the wheel too, and I never noticed any submarining problems with them. You will sit about an inch and a half lower though, but that's a good thing to me.

You can't tilt them up? I had my car for 2 years before I noticed you can do that. lol When I did it was so much more comfortable too.

My new car is # 2561 of #2500 (Don't ask) and Sue's scion is # 1608 of 2200. My Celica was #13 of 400

Impressed ? No ? Well then, Limited edition WRX shouldn't impress either.
