I'm reviving this thread. Tuesday after work, a little Japanese lady side swiped me in her Highlander. She came from the left lane. My car is stopped right where she hit me. I was a half car length behind when she decided to change lanes.

Exactly. Remind you this Accord has 280,6xx miles on it. I just got the estimate a few hours ago. $687..only payed $600 for the car two years ago... hahaha. I'll use this money fix my quarters, I'm painting it next spring anyhow.

I was pretty much totally stopped by the time she hit me.. all that damage is from her continuing to rake her highlander down the side.

most HPDEs are written up as "drivers education" not "racing"... so insurance SHOULD cover him

Insurance would cover it, but I'm not going to claim it. It would be considered my fault since it was on track and the other car isn't even registered for the road. This one comes out of my pocket. Lesson, don't take the evo on track, take the stupid honda!

i was comin off my dads street and they guy blew the red light pretty casually. i we on my phone then looked up and it was green so i went then he hit me behind the cab and bent the frame, door is fucked, and the car is totaled. they gave me $2900 for it
so i bought a 4x4 s10 lets see how long this lasts.

dayum. last accident i had was last year when i hit a raccoon in my Ford Focus. it did $1500 worth of damage to the front end of the car...

1500??? good god man.. i hit a fukin juvenile deer and it only did 340 worth of damage, and that was just a new fender, hood from the local p&p and a headlight. i feel sorry for you getting that much damage from a raccoon.

A friend of mine in his BMW hit a raccoon.. busted out his fog light and the little sub frame behind it. $500 fix. The very next week, he hit the other side on another raccoon.. Another $500. About a month later, he smacked an armadillo and it somehow managed to destroy both fog lights. He just removed them both and drove it with no fog lights until he sold it.
