Wasn't the new Civic suppose to be much smaller? I remember them talking about that. I don't know if it's any smaller than the previous gen, but it's still fucking huge. I was in the dealership on Saturday and they had one in the showroom. A Civic these days makes me feel like my 94 Accord was tiny...

My 2007 coupe is about the same size as the mid 90s accord coupe.

They have to be so big for the 2.0L + size motors. I wouldn't mind compact cars with 1.6L tunable motors again.

lol, yes it is. I didn't realize that until my cousin parked his 07 or 08 coupe next to my 90 Accord coupe. The main difference is the hood and trunk are shorter on the Civic.

New civic has a 30mm shorter wheelbase compared to the 8th gen. They also shed some weight (50-100lb I believe). The top reasons cars won't shrink.

1. The majority like roomy cars
2. The government increases crash standards every year. Safety equipment takes up a lot of real estate in a car.
