the new grille is back in my hands all painted and no orange peel! i'm curious how it will match the factory orange peel  but as for a color match, it is dead on. they also gave me the pint for touch ups.

Just ordered my first set of BRAND NEW coilovers... ksport kontrol pro v2 . i was pretty limited between BC racing and ksport since other brands offset the rear shock mount to get more low (due to rear torsion beam setup) . alot of the bigwig turbo track guys have been using them with great results, and they offer a good year warranty (with my driving mileage i'll certainly put them through the wringer) and i'll be able to swap back to stock suspension for the fall.

took this friday: the one front drivers side wheel plastidip has a tear in it since i tagged it with the sharp side of the scraper trying to get the snow and ice out of the wheel other than that they the dip is in great shape for tires being moved around on them 3 times and 8 months of time since they were originally dipped.

and this yesterday! my first mod. capped the bypass hose so the car will make whooshy noises now.

i also grabbed turbosocks rigid collars at the last minute (spend once, align once) .

so for the year i've got suspension, rear bar, solid mounts and solid k frame. for the summer i have fresh tires on light, fully balanceable fixed wheels. for racing i still have the kooks. i WILL need a new set of snows for next year though.

and so, just as quickly as the car was purchased the suspension \ grip work (short of installation) is complete

The wheels are an ungodly mismatch to the cars paint color!

Kudos on the car, should have bout that one in the first place. :p Now make more powah

i love the wheels. :)

So the starter went on our 02 elantra. We picked up a reman in stock at advance auto.

To remove:
Remove air cleaner hose coming from throttlebody.
Unplug IAC, TPS, and EVAP plugs. Also push the 2 zip straps through the brackets.
Remove shifter cables from transmission (cotter pin, washer)
Remove cable bracket from transmission (2 12mm bolts)

After that, from the passenger side unplug the single tab from the back of the starter, then using either a 12mm or 13mm socket (depending on OEM or reman) remove the power wire from the starter.

Moving back to the drivers side, remove the two 14mm bolts holding the starter in . The top one can be removed with an 8 inch extension. the bottom one just put the short 14mm socket onto the ratchet.

now you can pull it out the top over the trans, unlike what it says in the manual. remember, our car is a 5-speed with full AC.

Installation is the reverse of removal :)

Just make sure you set the pre-load on the springs correctly, and the k-sports should hold up great

i'm going to have the car professionally aligned with a "streetable camber" and a 2 inch drop.

not some mom and pop tire shop... :)

Did you color match the grille when it was painted? Keep waiting for pics. :[

it was repainted same as OEM. grey bricks with the vitamin C surround. matched perfectly, and no factory orange peel  it is sitting in its box, waiting for spring...

put the factory mudflaps on it. aren't they cute?

I need to take the mud flaps off the Civic they scrape pulling out of my steep ass driveway.

i have not, yet, but i will as soon as it gets to be ~40 degrees as an average temp and i'm no longer a hermit :)

well i got a flat so...
