Frederick, Md. (AP) - State police are wondering why a motorcycle rider was riding half naked along Route 340 near Frederick moments before the crash that killed him Sunday afternoon.

Police say 21-year-old Shaun Matlock of Walkersville was wearing only a T-shirt, helmet and sneakers as he and six friends were riding their motorcycles near the Mount Zion Road exit. Police say Matlock did a "wheelie" then lost control of his machine and hit a parked tow truck.

The medical examiner is performing an autopsy and a toxicology screening.

About 30 of Matlock's friends and relatives gathered for a vigil last night at the accident scene.

The State's Attorney's office is determining whether charges should be filed in the crash.

Matlock's aunt tells WHAG TV that Matlock was being filmed at the time of the accident by a Baltimore-based production company, Holding It Big Entertainment. Police have not confirmed the film company's presence at the scene. But an unnamed person who answered a phone call to the company acknowledged knowing Matlock and was aware of the accident.

The company's Web site has links to videos of young men performing motorcycle stunts.

They're probably thinking about filing charges against the "Holding It Big" company... but maybe they were all holding something not so big in their hands when they were coming up with the idea for such a stupid stunt.
