2nd Annual New England Car Enthusiast Meet - Ma,Ny,Ct,Ri,Nh,Me,Ve

Last year was great! This year I chose a bigger and better parking lot, where we can all fit! Last years meet had an EXCELLENT turnout, hopefully will be the same this year if not better because of the extra parking space.
RAIN OR SHINE, hopefully no snow, but if it does snow, meet is off. Everyone be sure to see what the weather is like in Worcester Massachusetts, thats what we're going by.

ALL CARS WELCOME, THE MORE THE BETTER, feel free to bring food, drinks, anything, no alcoholic beverages.

What: Car Enthusiast Meet, all cars welcome
    When: Sunday, March 25th, 2007, 2pm - whenever
Where: Advanced Auto Parts II, on Grafton Street (NOT AutoZone both are very close to each other) in Worcester Massachusetts.

    Directions:

From New York - Find I-90 E (aka., the Masspike) Take Exit 11 (Millbury/Worcester) at Intersection off exit, take a left at the lights, stay straight for about 2-3 miles, Store will be on the right side.

From Conn. Take I-395 North until it changes into I-290 East, Take Exit 14 towards Grafton/Uxbridge route 122 (rt. 122 is Grafton st), at intersection off exit stay right, take a right at the light, stay on Grafton St. for about 1 ½ miles. Store will be on your left.

From Rhode Island - Easiest way to get there from 146 is about 10 minutes longer than another way but the other way is more complicated, easy way - Take Route 146 North, until you reach I-90(Masspike), after tollbooth go I-90 East Towards Boston, Take Exit 11 (Millbury/Worcester) at Intersection off exit, take a left at the lights, stay straight for about 2-3 miles, Store will be on the right side.

From Maine (If any) -I-195 South / West to I-495 South, to I-90(Masspike), after tollbooth go I-90 West Towards Springfield, Take Exit 11 (Millbury/Worcester) at Intersection off exit, take a left at the lights, stay straight for about 2-3 miles, Store will be on the right side.

From New Hampshire - many different ways to get there... dont know how to explain it, but here it goes, for the people next to Concord, take I-93 south to I-495 South then to I-90(Masspike), after tollbooth go I-90 West Towards Springfield, Take Exit 11 (Millbury/Worcester) at Intersection off exit, take a left at the lights, stay straight for about 2-3 miles, Store will be on the right side.

From Vermont - Take I-91 South to French Kings Highway East, then to Route 2 East Take route 2 East until you get to I-190 South, I-190 South merges into I-290 West, take exit 14, stay right off exit (around a bend) stay right after bend at intersection. Take a right at intersection, you are now on Grafton St. Store will be on your left about 1 ½ miles up the road.

NOTE TO ALL COMING FROM I-290

When you get onto Grafton St. bear right of the rotary that comes up after the Mobil gas station that you will see on your right. This is now still Grafton St. it just has a lot of bends and weird intersections. At the next big intersection you want to stay in your left lane and bear left, do not take a complete left turn up a hill, just bear left at the fork, If you went the right way, the CVS will be on your right side, not your left, and there will be a Getty gas station on your left right after the CVS, if you see these places your heading in the right direction. The store parking lot will be on your left side up ahead in about a ½ - ¾ mile.

NOTE TO ALL COMING FROM I-90

After you pay the toll, take a left at the lights, stay on this road for about 2-3 miles, if your heading in the right direction you should pass a 7 Eleven which will be on your left, and cross about 3 sets of lights. You will see a big Stop & Shop plaza on your right side eventually, you are now about ½ mile away. Store parking lot will be on your right side.

Be sure to post this up on another forum if you know of any that haven’t been informed, more people = better! Take this day off!

I'll see if I can get the wheels on the Scion done in time, and bring it. And maybe the Neon.

You can also take 84e or 91E(if you are closer to the springfield area than you are to 84, 84 ftw) to 90e go about ten miles til the 290 east exit, then follow his directions.

The Neon is just a clean car. That's about it. It's got rims, some of the cleanest installs ever, and is just in really mint shape.

The Scion is liked at shows, not because of what it is, but because my GF is the chief engineer. And you know leg humpers. She's a celebrity with that thing.

The Vega is liked by all, understood by known, and I feel wouldn't be good at a show. That and I don't like grubby little wigger finger prints on it and mullet comments. I bring that car to the major american muscle shows that are more common. I get lots of thumbsups from it (And am trying to join the Kilroy Cruisers of CT)

The NX is totally a work in progress, but the shit I have on the bench alone is enough to make me happy :)

I can bring the CRX at some point (I have to rebuild the suspension and exhaust before it's back in prime) but the body is definately a show stopper. The matched wheels I think give it a perfect "1989" look, and the garden trim announces it's nature.

At real old-school shows guys show up with their projects on flatbeds and push them off, engineless, because those guys appreciate a clean build in progress as much as they do sitting there. CT has an AWESOME old school toyota scene. Thuggy kids, but their craftsmanship can't be matched.

Remember: If you consider only one thing cool, only one look to be good, then you'll just hang out at that one level of the hobby without ever moving around and experiencing all there is to see and do. You'll get stagnant. Hang out with Camaro guys and hang out with MG guys and hang out with Mercedes guys, Aircooled VW guys as well as water cooled (Well, I dont) VW guys. Check out the custom bikes, trucks and what-have-you. Take it all in, man.

To add: The Neon wasn't too well recieved at the Hubbard Park meet (the only place I've really shown it). Those guys thought that anything that wasn't JDM or Drift was shit anyway. Fuck em.

The vega is currently at a lean 50% of it's original weight. I keep forgetting to post pics of the body project.

With this house coming up, it'll only postpone it longer, or take out of the Vega budget. I may not be able to get the fiberglass bits this year, and may not even be able to get the new rear end. The spindle budget went from pre-fab Lakewood spindles ($2000) to "some S-10 junk, a welder and a hammer"
