Last Wednesday me and a few guys went up to a drag strip in western NY.

First time I ever ran this car. it is a 03 Civic Si. Only mods are hondata reflash, and a dc sport header

i dunno 500' - 800' i think

i don't have to shift outta 3rd..

need to get my launch down better and switch to a wider tire.. the 195s dont give enough grip..

I think if I get an better flowingn exhaust and CAI I can hit 14.7 or so
 
I wouldn't doubt it, you should be nearing 14.9s as it is.
You'll get it all worked out ;)
 
wider != more traction :)

there's an article on this some where.... grip 101 or some shit.

basically, traction deals more with contact patch, front to back, and thus is a function of weight and tire psi and overall diameter of the tire.

wider = better lateral/conering grip.

but yeah, 2.3's are pretty bad. you should be able to pull a 2.1 on street tires
