2wd crv trans useful?

Hey all. I've been hearing all this talk about 'you can't use the crv trans for a swap because they're awd...'. I completely forgot that like 1/2 of all crv's sold are 2wd, not 4wd! AND what's more, they supposedly have a final drive of somewhere around 4.765- almost exactly the same as the JDM ITR (obviously without the LSD)...

Has anyone tried using a crv trans and/or gears/internal parts on a swap? :unsure: <_<

no way do they have that high of a final drive. if anything, they are more like the ls gears.... and thus, internally weaker.
