The only use for a train like that in the U.S is a transcontinental service. I don't think the train could get up to full speed potential doing a run from Boston to Washington.

Yeah, id really hope that amtrac wouldnt get the contract for america's maglev train.

Amtrack are the only people dedicated to moving people by train though. If any other train company took it over, you would be able to overnight deliver a car.

Edit:

Which would be neat, if you shipped your car, and your car was being GPS tracked and you got sent for doing 300 mph for 4 hours to LA.
