4 9 and 14 error codes

OK my buddy is having a hard time with his swap. everything is in and he keeps getting codes 4 9 and 14. now 14 i think i know what his problem is, but i don't understand how he is getting code 4 and 9. can someone help me out here so he can stop his crying ?
