6-1/2" Speaker front doors EG hatch???

I was offered to buy some JL Audio W5 or some 5 series 6-1/2" components for $200 (BRAND NEW in box)

I have 5-1/4" in the front now and I know its what is 'suppose to' be in the doors.

I've read around and it sounds like you just cut the bottom out of the basket that holds the speaker?

But do you have to trim it to make the diameter bigger to accept the 6-1/2"?

I have a dremel tool just wanted to know how big of a headache it would be.

you shouldn't have to trim the mounting ring around the outside to put the 6.5'' in.

good choice with the components they sound much better
