83 accord to dune buggie?

    just wondering if anyone ahs done this or would know how. i have a 83 accord how could i put it in a dune buggie? and how would i make it rwd? just turn the engine around? jsut wondering doesnt sound too worthwhile but who knows it would be fun to play around on.

    Just mid-mount the whole thing in the frame. If you try to mount it longitudinally with a RWD transmission you'll probably run into rotation direction issues.

    yeah thats what i was thinking i would just use the engine and tranny maybe axles too?

    Either build a tube frame that fits the engine and trans, or add tube frame to the front and rear. I don't know how your dunes are in TX but here in OR people don't build buggies with longitudinal engines because they are too wide. Our dunes have a lot of trees and shit in them so people keep their rigs as narrow as possible.

    People put all sorts of FWD engines in mid-engine buggies.

    This guy I know has a buggy with a superchargered 3.8 from a grand prix.

    thats a little more power than i need in a dune buggie or a roll cage on super charged wheels......lmAO
