83 civic seat removel ?

i have a 1983 civic and i cant seem to find how to take the rear bolts out of the front seat rails to get the seat out. what am i doing wrong it seems the seat does not go far enough forward to where i cant get to them.

can you un bolt the seat and leave the seat rails? then after the seat is out you can get to the bolts. thats what i had to do in an 83 mustang i used to own.
