I have the oprotunity to get an 84 CRX auto for either free or $100, not sure which yet. The only thing it needs is a motor, fender and hood.

What kind of price range am I looking at to swap over (I'd be doing the work myself) to a B16 or equivilent? I've been checking around and the JDM's complete swap units (brakes, axels, tranny, ecu etc) seem to run between $1700 and $2000. Is that all I'd need basically?

Also, how hard is it to swap a manual tranny for an auto?

What kind of gas milage and times can I except with the swap?

Is forced induction actually worth it for a commuter / sometimes dragger?

Thanks for your help!

You'll have to do some wiring to get the car running a multipoint fuel injection system, get some custom mounts for the swap,HAsport is the recommended spot to pick these up.You will also need shiftlinkage, and axles which can also be furnished by HAsport,or you can built the axles using older integra, there are instuctions for doing this on the site also. Here is a good article on the 1st gen rex's..
