87 crx si block swap please help

I have a 87 crx si with a a hole in the side of the block and i am waiting to know if a 96 d16y6 block will work if i use the head,tranny and ecu that is still on the rex and just take the CPK sensor off the block?

Nothing? Does anyone have a short block to get rid of that will fit?
