Well I have the 87 ZC in my 89 hatch, I went to start it and the starter just spins. What starter do I have to use to get it to hit the flywheel?

starter is probably bad/sticking. I'd pull it out and ensure proper operation off the car.

Well I'm using the Si tranny, I didn't know It was a 87 till I went to the shop to get my distrubutor check out and he told me It was from a 87. Well I have the motor in there I'm not going to take it out and put a new flywheel in, I just need to find a bigger ping. I'm sure the starter is working it's just not long enough to hit the flywheel. I was think could I use the teg one or just get my pin bigger. It's all wired up so there's no way it's coming out. Thanx for the help
