So here's the deal. I was out driving my 88 HB a couple months ago and all of a sudden smoke started coming out from under the cluster. Now when ever I turn the blinkers on the heat hand and the gas hand jump up and down. When I turn the flashers on the heat and gas hand both go all the way up. Anybody have any ideas to what could be wrong. I'd really like to start driving this car again but I'm afraid something will happen. Any help would be great. Thanks

sounds like you shorted something out. i seriously doubt your gas tank filled itself.
sounds like you magically got full power going to a fuse or a relay and thats what caused it. think about it like touching a battery cable to your remote wire....youre head unit doesnt turn off even when you turn the car off. its probably something like that.
