i have an '88 toyota camry i am trying to get rid of. its got 194,000 miles on it but needs a little work. the brakes need to be bled and it needs a tranny flush. power everything, and a moon roof. its dark red with dark red interior. needs paint and a little bondo sanding. if there is any interest ill post pics. i want $700 and i am in central VA (24502)---david
 
1988 was the first generation that started the "flattening out" of the Camry body style... I couldn't find a pic of it on MSN Autos, but it's the last generation before the Camry started looking more upscale- 3 generations ago.

It doesn't look like the AE86.
 
i have a second generation camry. the first generation looks almost like an ae86 except they are 4 door. my car is a fwd 2.0l inline four. automatic. a/c power locks and windows, moon roof, tilt wheel. its not that bad for $700
