89 EF Hatch D15B2 w/ 5spd
i have an 89 civic hatch with the factory d15b2 engine in it.just recently i noticed when i would try to get on it a little it would pass 5500 in first. i didnt try in the other gears because that kinda scared me since it is my daily driver and only mode of transportation to and from work.
question is does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should look at because i cant afford a new motor since im in the middle of a d16a6 turbo build.
no CEL(check engine light) and it will smoke hardcore when it does that. (blue smoke). it also recently started to sound like an exhaust leak but coming from the tail pipe. and i checked the exhaust and it isnt leaking. it does have quite a few miles though.
any help is greatly appreciated.
