I have an 89 civic hatch with a d15b1 motor in it, manual transmission (5 speed) and I just picked up what I was told was a zc motor but it turns out to be a d16a1 motor with a tranny which apparently came out of the 86 - 89 integras in the states and makes 112-113 horsepower. Anyway, I can't seem to find whether or not this is the right DOHC motor for this car. Any help or information would be apprectiated. Thanks.

Can the motor mounts be switched over and is the wiring a straight forward conversion?

not the right engine - doesn't bolt right into 4th gen Civic - will bolt into 3rd gen Civic - DOHC ZC is the one that bolts right in

86-89 integra engine and tranny will not bolt into the 4G civic or 2G CRX. You need a Civic ZC......dont even waste your time trying to find a way to mount the D16A1 into the civic.
