I have had an 89 Crx Si for several years my cousin blew a few holes in the engine and I got the car back from him so now I thought was a good idea to swap a new engine in it. I have had a little bit of trouble because he pulled the old engine out and I really did not see how it all went together. I bought a B16a w/S1 transmission. I have most of everything hooked up, vtec, axles, pr3 computer, shifter, etc. I am stuck on one thing.

Above the right shock tower is a plug. I do believe that it is for the fuel injectors. Being that my old engine was an si and that there is a injector resistor I think that my old engine was a mpfi. The problem is that the connector on the car side is a big circle plug and the engine side is a big square plug. I have searched endlessly trying to find an answer for what to do. I must be just missing the answer somewhere.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

ok hopefully this works

More on where I got the engine. The guy that I bought the engine from also had the engine in a 89 crx is it possible that he put different wires on the fuel injectors and it had a different plug. Like maybe his car was a dpfi and he put a different plug on it to convert it to mpfi. Hopefully my thought makes sense.

It also looks like 8 wires coming from the car with the round male and 6 wires coming from the fuel injectors square female plug

Well those are OBD0 plugs, your car is an Si right, and you bought the motor from some one who had a harness on it already right? If the harness on the motor now is a modified DX harness it wont plug into the female Si plug. Use your Si engine harness on the motor, not the one that was on the motor when you bought it.

awesome thanks. I don't have the original motor though I got the car back from my cousin without an engine in it. That has kinda made things difficult. Ill just call around the junk yards.

Is there any other wires that I might want to worry about or is it probably just the injectors? Everything else plugged together.
