89 crx si

Hello i recently purchased a 1989 crx si and was wondering if my old d16y7 motor would work in it??....the motor in the crx still runs but it not trustworty enough for me.....i was thinking if i just used the head and block off the y7 then used tranny,mani,distrib,etc. off crx it could work......any thoughts on this would be helpful......thank you and have a nice day!!!

Yeh it'll work. Just use your non obd stuff and swap it in the d16y7. Dist,ecu, fuel injectors and manifold. .

ok what if i wanted to add a vtec head from a z6 motor???.....all i have to do is wire up the vtec and get something like an v-afc to activate the vtec correct???.....thanks for the help!!!

As far as i know. I would convert it to obd1. Using the obd1 dist,ecu,fuel injectors. I have a z6 head for sale actually. 225 plus shipping
