89 Std 4 spd to 92 dx 5spd

Okay My 89 Std Hatchback's lil 4 speed is just about done and I have a guy locally who wants to sell me a low mileage 92 5 speed DX transmission. So i was wondering the 5th gen tranny will work in my 4th gen EF without much modification or will it be a PITA and i should just find a Si/Dx from a 89-91 EF?

4g transmissions use a cable actuated clutch - 5g use hydraulic clutch - mounts are completely different - to use the 5g, you would need a hydraulic to cable conversion and mount kit which would cost you more than a transmission - better off sticking with 89-91 (not 88, unless you want to change clutch) transmission
