90 crx dx idle problems

hey on my crx the idleing is all messed up. when i hit the gas the rpms will go up to like 2-3000 and it will sometimes just stay thier and i have to hit the gas again for it to come back down and somtimes it will just go higher until i hit it right. what could this be? throttle cable?

yeah you could try and loosen your throttle cable, mine was to tight and it would stick

well first i took it off and then wen i put it back on i kept it loose and it still does it

did u try starting ur car without the cable connected and working the throttle by hand to see if it still does it? if it dont then you will know if it the throttle cable.

if it still does it then i would check the vacuum lines for leaks and i would try cleaning the iacv and the FITV.

i fixed it. i went to the junk yrd and bought the end of the cable that goes onto th intake part and it works fine now. thanks
