Car originally didn't start at all. Threw no ecu codes but tracked problem to distributor. Replaced the distributor, igniter, coil, cap and rotor. (Courtesy of Honda who sells parts separately...grrrrrr). Put everything together and went to fire it up. Throws engine code 4 (ckp). Runs a little funny and goes to honda's limp mode, i.e. rev limits at 3500 rpms or so. Checked all the connections and timing, all ok. Checked to make sure that timing belt hadn't jumped a tooth. It's ok. Any ideas on why its throwing code 4? Could the distributor have been bad from the factory? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
